Intelligen Technology®

A cutting-edge sex-sorting innovation using dual-laser technology, comprising:

Detection Laser – Identifies the sex of each sperm cell
Kill Laser – Destroys male sperm cells

The process begins by staining the semen and feeding it into the sorting machine, which aligns sperm cells one by one. Each cell is scanned by the Detection Laser to determine its sex. If identified as male, the Kill Laser deactivates the cell by targeting its head.
Female sperm cells, on the other hand, are left intact and continue through the process.

Thanks to this advanced method, female sperm cells maintain their viability and fertilization potential, comparable to conventional (unsorted) semen.

Semen Quality Pre-Check
Clients may choose to send their sire to the YZ Semen Center for a quality check or request our expert team to perform on-site evaluation at their farm.
Admission & Health Screening
Before entering the production process, each sire must undergo disease screening and a quarantine period in compliance with the Department of Livestock Development’s standards. This applies even when the sire is submitted only for semen quality testing.
Start of Production
We tailor nutritional management and semen collection schedules for each sire to ensure optimal semen output and quality.
Return of Sire & Semen
Once the target quantity is achieved, we will return the sire along with the frozen, ready-to-use sexed semen.
